Steven A. Hemmat has broad experience in civil litigation and drafting a variety of contracts. Small businesses, property owners and tenants rely on his contract expertise to resolve disputes.
Mr. Hemmat frequently advises clients in the creation and drafting of contractual agreements, the transfer of real estate and commercial leases. If parties have a dispute over a written agreement, Mr. Hemmat has experience and background to analyze the language of agreements, evaluate the circumstances of the agreement, apply legal research toward interpretation of contract terms, and advise clients of their options.
Mr. Hemmat served as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice with the Civil Division, Commercial Litigation Branch, in Washington, D.C. in the early part of his career. Representing the Federal Government in courts, both at the trial and appellate levels, provided Mr. Hemmat with valuable experience in litigating contract and other civil disputes.
